Earlier today, the 9th Annual NRJ Awards got underway over in Cannes, France. And the fashion on the red carpet looks to be top-notch.

Rihanna showed up at the gig looking gorgeous as usual. The “Umbrella” singer was wearing a flowy grey dress that fell just right to accentuate her curves, along with a pair of strappy heels.

If you happen to live in Paris, you know that each and every year there is a holiday celebration at the Champs-Elysees. And this year’s tree-lighting ceremony got a visit from French singer/actress Vanessa Paradis.

For the festivities, 415 trees were draped with a total of 30,000 long glass strips to create the effect of lights dripping off the branches. The new eco-friendly bulbs used in the display promise to provide eight times the twinkle, while cutting the bill by 70%.

The Gossip Girls reported back in March about Depp’s daughter’s E Coli illness that halted his latest movie’s production. Apparently the incident has brought the family even closer, to the point that Paradis and Depp want to officially exchange vows.
