Ashton Kutcher's CBS Deal: Only One Year

Having recently been announced as Charlie Sheen's replacement, Ashton Kutcher isn't ready for too much of a commitment when it comes to "Two and a Half Men".

According to the Wall Street Journal, the "Punk'd" funnyman has only inked a one-year-deal with CBS for the hit comedy series.

He’s stepping into the void left by Charlie Sheen, and last night (May 18) Ashton Kutcher was spotted at the CBS Upfront for “Two and a Half Men.”

The “Punk’d” stud looked to be in good spirits as he posed with Jon Cryer and Angus T. Jones at the Tent at Lincoln Center in New York City.

Making his return to the television realm, Ashton Kutcher will replace Charlie Sheen on “Two and a Half Men,” though his salary won’t compare with that of the “Hot Shots” star.

According to TMZ, the “Butterfly Effect” stud will bank less than $900,000 per episode, rather than Sheen’s reported $1.25 million paycheck.

He’s convinced that he will be hired back to “Two and A Half Men,” but Warner Brothers are shutting down Charlie Sheen.

A letter sent today (April 14) from WB attorneys at Munger Tolles & Olson to Sheen’s lawyer Marty Singer said, "As you know, there have been no discussions, there are no discussions, and there will be no discussions, regarding his returning to or having any involvement in the series."
