Mark Wahlberg Calls "Transformers" Films "The Most Iconic Franchise in Movie History"

Replacing Shia LaBeouf with Mark Wahlberg seems to have already proven to be a good decision as the actor is already selling "Transformers: Age of Extinction" pretty hard.

On Monday, the 42-year-old star appeared at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where he spoke about the choice to tackle the project.

Whetting fans appetites for what is sure to be another hit, Paramount Pictures debuted the first full trailer for "Transformers: Age of Extinction" today (March 4).

Per the synopsis: a mechanic and his daughter make a discovery that brings down Autobots and Decepticons - and a paranoid government official - on them.

Giving fans a first-look at Mark Wahlberg in "Transformers 4: Age of Extinction," Paramount Pictures released a teaser clip during tonight's Super Bowl (February 2).

In the action-packed clip, "The Departed" star gets down and dirty with the familiar Transformers and promises a thrilling ride for the audience.



Michael Bay Talks Hong Kong Assault

Clearing up exactly what went down on the set of his new movie in Hong Kong on Thursday (October 17), Michael Bay took to his website to set the record straight.

As previously reported by GossipCenter, the director was attacked by local business owners who wanted money for the loss of revenue due to the interruption from filming.

In an odd turn of events, director Michael Bay was attacked on the set of "Transformers: Age of Extinction" on Thursday (October 17).

According to police, two brothers who own a business in the area where the motion picture is filming approached Mr. Bay and demanded money for the loss or revenue their shop was suffering as a result of the shoot.

The production is expected to bring in big bucks to the financially troubled city, but probably not (anywhere near) enough to save it from bankruptcy.

While at the premiere for his new film "Pain & Gain," director Michael Bay quickly told E! News "no" Miss Fox will not be returning, adding, "Because it's a totally different story, it's with Mark Wahlberg and his daughter."

He’s never backed down from a challenge, and Mark Wahlberg's latest gig is as Shia LaBeouf's replacement in the forthcoming fourth “Transformers” flick.

According to multiple sources, the “Boogie Nights” hunk is thrilled about the gig as it brings him together with director Michael Bay.
