Tatum O’Neal’s Family Drug Use
She was arrested back in June for trying to buy cocaine, and now Tatum O’Neal's father and half-brother are in trouble for drug possession charges.
The “Wicked Wicked Games” actress recently spoke to press about the dangers of drug use, and her concern for her family members. "Addiction, if untreated, can lead to jail, institutions and death. I love them both and I am sorry to hear about this."
According to sheriff’s spokesman Steve Whitmore Ryan O’Neal (67) and his son Redmond (23) were arrested yesterday in Malibu, California.
"Deputies were doing a routine sweep to make sure Redmond was adhering to his probation. Upon searching the premises, the younger O'Neal was found in possession of narcotics. Later, a vial of drugs was found in the elder O'Neal's bedroom. We believe the drugs found were methamphetamines."
Both men have since posted bail and have been released to await a hearing.
