"The Smurfs" Week Gets Underway
Kicking off a huge promotional push, stars of "The Smurfs" were on-hand to ignite the start of "Smurfs Week" in New York City today (July 25).
Big names from the family flick made their way through the Big Apple to take part in the event, including Neil Patrick Harris, Jayma Mays, and Hank Azaria - as well a bevy of fluffy blue characters.
As it gears up for the film's Friday release (July 29), many of the city's attractions will take on a new look - as the Empire State Building will shine blue and Columbus Circle will turn into "Smurf Village," which will host blossoming brood of mushroom-shaped homes and 40-foot tall fuzzy friends.
Just last night, fellow cast members Katy Perry and Sofia Vergara stepped out to premiere the highly-anticipated animation at at the Ziegfeld Theatre.
