Sarah Jessica Parker: Monday Morning Mommy

In a recent interview, SJP shared that she was thrilled to coordinate a partnership between the New York City Ballet and famed Italian designer Valentino.

“It was my idea many, many, many months ago. And I think of it as the launch of what will hopefully be our annual fall gala. Next year it will be three American designers that are part of New York Fashion Week.”

Valentino and his partner Giammetti have been excited about the project from square one. “They’ve been flying here for the last four months, sitting at our atelier, and building these costumes by hand. And that’s been, in many ways, the most gratifying part of the whole experience, to show him what American seamstresses can do.”
