“The Dictator” Ruffles Feathers in UK
He has always been known for causing a stir, and Sacha Baron Cohen's latest film “The Dictator” has already created controversy in his native United Kingdom.
The “Borat” comedian put together a new trailer for the film in Great Britain in which he states, “I would like to congratulate your dictatoress Elizabeth on her blood diamond jubilee and I hope it is a smooth transition when her son Charles eventually kills her and seizes power.”
Earlier this year, Cohen showed up on the Academy Awards red carpet dressed in full dictator garb, carrying an urn that was said to contain the ashes of the late Kim Jong-Il.
Prior to spilling the ashes on Ryan Seacrest, he explained, “These are the ashes of my good friend Kim Jong-Il and it was his dream to come to the Oscars and be scattered on the red carpet and on Halle Berry’s chest.”
