Russell Crowe Needs to Lose Some Weight
He’s a shoo-in for pretty much any role he wants, but if Russell Crowe hopes to star in the upcoming Robin Hood film by Ridley Scott, he’ll need to shed some pounds.
The “Gladiator” stud has reportedly been ordered by his director friend to lose weight before he assumes the role of the Sheriff of Nottingham reports FOX News.
And according to a source, it’s no small feat that Ridley was able to make the request. “[Scott] is one of the only directors on earth who could ask [Crowe] to slim down.”
The new flick is said to be a new spin on the Robin Hood story, with Crowe’s sheriff “portrayed as a noble man whose corrupt king is to blame for the oppressive taxes on his subjects. Crowe’s character will compete with Robin Hood for the love of Maid Marian.”
