Box Office: "Ride Along" Makes it Two in a Row
Making it two in a row, "Ride Along" had what it takes to land in the the top spot at the box office for the weekend of January 24-26, 2014.
The action comedy, which stars Ice Cube and Kevin Heart, took in $6.3 million on Friday, and easily cruised to a three day total of $21 million.
Staying put in second spot is "Lone Survivor," Mark Wahlberg's drama about the failed Operation Red Wings. The film scored $3.6 million on Friday and wound up with a $12.6 million weekend.
Rounding out the top five in earmarked earnings are the animated comedy, "The Nut Job" ($12.3 million) in third, "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" (9 million) in fourth and Disney's "Frozen" ($8.9 million) coming in fifth.
