Regis Philbin announced that he'll be returning to his syndicated daytime talk show on April 26th, roughly six weeks after having triple heart bypass surgery. The always comedic "Live With Regis and Kelly" host called into the show on Monday to give an update on his recovery.
During the phone call, Regis said that he'd been "through the wars" in his recovery, but was building up strength by walking and lifting light weights.
Regis Philbin, co-host of "Live With Regis and Kelly," announced on yesterday's show that he is scheduled to undergo heart bypass surgery this week.
"Well, listen, I gotta tell you something. ... I had been feeling chest pains, you know, and, uh, shortness of breath and all those little symptoms that you hear about," Philbin, 75, informed the show's audience.
