Princes Diana's Iconic Gowns Go Up for Auction
Close to sixteen years after her untimely passing, people around the world remain fascinated by Princess Diana, and next week a collection of her dresses will go up for auction in London.
Always admired for her keen fashion sense during her life, the late Princess of Wales left behind some very glamorous pieces.
Among those looks to go under the hammer at Kerry Taylor are the iconic midnight blue velvet gown Diana wore to dance with John Travolta in 1985 and a Catherine Walker-beaded black frock she wore for her Vanity Fair shoot at Kensington Palace in 1997.
Speaking of the auction, which is expected to net upwards of $2 million, the auctioneer said, "As a group, it's fascinating to see the change from ingénue to style icon. You follow her life through clothes."
