Bringing heartache to Hollywood, actor and director Philip Seymour Hoffman was found dead in his Manhattan apartment today (February 2).

The 46-year-old reportedly enrolled in a 10-day drug detox treatment program last year for substance abuse, which began with prescription pills, and eventually escalated to heroin.
