Philip Seymour Hoffman Leaves Assets to Girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell & Son Cooper
Given the sudden drug-induced death of Philip Seymour Hoffman, it’s not surprising that he hadn’t updated his will since 2004.
And in the legal document, the “Capote” actor made provision for both his longtime girlfriend Mimi O’Donnell and their son Cooper.
Hoffman’s wishes were as follows, “It is my strong desire ... that my son Cooper Hoffman, be raised and reside in or near the borough of Manhattan… [or] Chicago, Illinois or San Francisco, California.”
Furthermore if Mimi “cannot reside in any of such cities, then it is my strong desire that Cooper visit these cities at least twice a year.”
Philip continued, “The purpose of this request is so that my son will be exposed to the culture, art and architecture that such cities offer.”
Hoffman left a trust to Connor that will unlock when he’s 30. As for his daughter Tallulah and Willa, they still hadn’t been born.
As for Mimi, she received a large portion of Philip’s still-undisclosed net worth.
