The "Starships" rapper entertained the crowd in a crazy patterned Roberto Cavalli jacket and leggings, Timberlands, and an animal-print officer's hat as she belted out "Va Va Voom" and "Freedom."

The new season of “American Idol” is just underway, and there’s already friction building between new judges Mariah Carey and Nicki Minaj.

During last night’s premiere, Mariah began taking issue with Nicki’s massive hat and asked, “We can have accessories? I didn’t know that was allowed.”

Her judging debut on “American Idol” is set to air on January 16, and Nicki Minaj continued her promotional run with a visit to “The Tonight Show with Jay Leno” on Monday evening (January 14).

Before chatting with the late night legend, the “Pink Friday” singer tweeted, “HEAR ME BARBZ!?!?!?!? WATCH JAY LENO TONIGHT!!!!! K, BYE.”
