Box Office: "Fast & Furious 6" Setting Fast Weekend Pace at the Top

Looking towards a record-breaking holiday weekend at the box office, "Fast & Furious 6" is on pace to capture the top spot for the four-day period of May 24-27, 2013.

The Vin Diesel-fronted action flick scooped up $30.9 million on Friday and is heading towards a $119.3 million freshman weekend.

“The Hangover Part III” Gets Slow Start

Back in 2011 the second installment of the “Hangover” franchise nabbed $10.4 in midnight sales, setting a new R-rated film record, and it doesn’t look like “The Hangover Part III” had what it took to beat its predecessor.

Last night (May 22) the Bradley Cooper flick nabbed around $3.1 million for its midnight showing, however the upcoming Memorial Day weekend could turn things around.
