Box Office: "Star Trek Into Darkness" Soars to the Top Spot

Cashing in on its highly-anticipated status, "Star Trek Into Darkness" grabbed the top spot at the box office for the weekend of May 17-19, 2013.

The J.J. Abrams sci-fi film garnered an impressive $22 million Friday in its freshman debut, and finished out the weekend with a total of $71 million.

Taking care of some last-minute details, Mark Wahlberg and Denzel Washington were busy on the set of their new flick “2 Guns” in Los Angeles last night (May 16).

The “Boogie Nights” hunk and his “American Gangster” partner-in-crime looked intense as they filmed some re-shoots at an outdoor location while shutterbugs looked on.

Delving into directing, Shia LaBeouf created a creepy short film entitled "Haunted Love," set to the song by the same title by the band Future Unlimited.

In the short, the "Transformer" actor's girlfriend Mia Goth plays the lead female role, with Future Unlimited frontman David Miller as her male counterpart.

The animated sequel follows Blu, Jewel, and their three kids in Rio de Janeiro. When Jewel decides the kids need to learn to live like real birds, she insists the family venture into the Amazon. As Blu tries to fit in with his new neighbors, he worries he may lose Jewel and the kids to the call of the wild.
