It’s an exciting time of year for fans of country music, as the nominations for the 2012 American Country Awards were just announced!

And this time around, Luke Bryan came out on top with a total of seven chances to take home some hardware, while, Zac Brown Band and Lady Antebellum each received six nods.

Though she is known for her stunning good looks and catchy country tunes, it seems that Miranda Lambert wants her fans to know she also has a rocker-esque side to her as well.

In a recent interview at the iHeart Radio Music Festival, the “White Liar” songstress opened up about having more than one aspect to her music, saying, “Most people see me as a country artist, and I am, but I also have a lot of rock edges so i’m hoping to gain some rock fans.”

It’s one of the biggest events in American Pop Music, and the iHeartRadio Music Festival will return to Sin City this September.

According to a report, the lineup of artists is nothing short of astounding, with acts from several different genres making it onto the bill.
