Mindy McCready’s Tragic Suicide
She’s no stranger to emotional hardship and sadly Mindy McCready reportedly took her own life on Sunday (February 17).
The country singer’s body was found on the porch of her home in Herber Springs, Arkansas, dead of an apparent self-inflicted gunshot wound, according to the local sheriff.
Last month, Mindy’s boyfriend David Wilson committed suicide in like manner and McCready vehemently denied having anything to do with the situation.
At the time she told press, "I've never gone through anything this painful. He didn't just touch my heart, he touched my soul. He was my life. We were each other's life. David was not having an affair with another woman. That is absolutely totally untrue."
McCready’s father was concerned for her as well- he stated in court documents, "Since boyfriend (David Wilson) shot himself she has been in bed for 3 wks. Sleeps all day. Drinks all night and is taking Rx drugs. Not bathing or even helping take care of her 2 children."
A “Celebrity Rehab” alum, Mindy previously attempted suicide twice before and was committed to a mental health clinic earlier this month before being discharged to an outpatient program.
The “You’ll Never Know” songstress was 37 years old and leaves behind her six-year-old son Zander and 9-month-old son Zayne.
