Miley Cyrus Keeps it Clean on "Saturday Night Live"
In the days leading up to her "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig, fans wondered if Miley Cyrus would once again do something to cause a big stir as she did at the VMA's in August.
But those who tuned in to see what the controversial songstress would do found that she kept it quite tame, and had fun while doing it.
Poking some fun at her VMA performance, Miley spoofed the awards show in the cold open, even donning her sparkly costume she originally wore.
In her opening monologue, Miley explained why she isn't twerking much these days, saying "Now that white people are doing it, it seems kind of lame."
Featured skits included a house party thrown by Republican House of Representatives leaders to celebrate the government shut down, a "50 Shades of Grey" screen test and Cyrus as a hip hop obsessed high school student.
Also the show's musical guest, the 20-year-old belted out her hits "Wrecking Ball" and "We Can't Stop."
