Melanie Brown Causes Chaos on Australian TV!
She’s definitely one of the most in-demand stars in the land down under, and Melanie Brown's multiple shows are warring over her.
A judge has signed a restraining order preventing the former Spice Girl from appearing on Channel Nine’s new version of “Australia’s Got Talent,” despite an official report that she’d joined the cast.
The reason? Channel Seven already has the rights to Melanie for their program “The X Factor,” through 2014, so it would be unfair competition.
Furthermore, the court ordered Mel’s hubby Stephen Belafonte not to “assist, induce, or otherwise procure Brown” to enter into a deal with anyone other than Channel Seven.
A rep from the network declared, "As the matter is before the courts, it would not be appropriate to comment further at this stage."
Mel previously told press she was thrilled about her “Australia’s Got Talent” gig, calling it “a great opportunity to continue to spend time in Australia and discover more of the exceptional talent you have an abundance of. I can't wait to join Australia's Got Talent. I know we will have a blast, and I'm sure some fireworks as well.”
