Movie-goers sent the newly-released action adventure "Man of Steel" soaring to the top spot at the box office for the weekend of June 14-16, 2013.

The highly-anticipated adventures of Clark Kent/Superman starring Amy Adams and Henry Cavill grabbed an impressive three-day total of $125.1 million its freshman weekend in theaters.

With an impressive weekend already on the horizon, Warner Bros. released two new TV spots for "Man of Steel" on Friday (June 14).

The Zack Snyder-directed flick is officially described as follows: "A young itinerant wortker is forced to confront his secret extraterrestrial heritage when Earth is invaded by members of his race."

Eager to show off their highly-anticipated film, the stars of “Man of Steel” were on hand for its world premiere on Monday (June 10) in New York City.

Donning a black gown, Amy Adams, who plays Lois Lane, posed on the arrivals carpet in front of Alice Tully Hall at Lincoln Center before heading inside.

Report: Sequel to "Man of Steel" in the Works

While “Man of Steel” won’t hit theaters until Friday, it appears that Warner Bros. is already ordering and fast tracking a sequel to the highly anticipated film.

In a report from Deadline on Monday (June 10), the action adventure’s director Zack Snyder and screenwriter David Goyer will both return to their respective positions.

Henry Cavill Brings "Man of Steel" to “Good Morning America”

Taking care of some media duties, Henry Cavill showed up at ABC Studios in New York City today (June 10) for an interview on “Good Morning America.”

The “Immortals” hunk was in the house to plug his forthcoming flick “Man of Steel” in which he portrays the iconic hero Superman.

With the anticipated premiere just a days away, Warner Bros. realeased the 11th TV spot for "Man of Steel" on Friday (June 7th).

The DC comic story is about a boy who learns he's not a typical kid on Earth. As he ages, he searches for answers about where he came from and why he was sent to Earth. He soon realizes he is put on the planet to save mankind from destruction.
