Madonna Supports “Pussy Riot” in Moscow
She’s never predictable and always interesting, and Tuesday night (August 7) Madonna had a special message for her fans during her concert in Moscow, Russia.
The “Express Yourself” singer took the stage at the Olimpiyskiy Concert Hall with the words “Pussy Riot” written on her back as she sang through her hit laden set.
And it seems Madge was making a statement with her body art- Pussy Riot is a punk band facing jail time for protesting Russian President Vladimir Putin at the country’s main Orthodox cathedral.
During the gig, Madonna addressed the crowd on behalf of the three-chick band. “I think that these three girls -- Masha, Katya, Nadya -- I think that they have done something courageous.”
