Lisa Kudrow Loses Her Legal Battle with Former Manager
After fighting a long battle in her "Friends" residuals lawsuit, Lisa Kudrow has lost her case against her former manager, Scott Howard.
The 50-year-old's attorney, Gerald Sauer said in a statement today (February 26) that, "The jury’s verdict is merely one step in the legal process."
Continuing, Sauer stated, "This case ultimately will be resolved at the appellate level. Ms. Kudrow has faith in the judicial system, and she believes that the eventual outcome of this contractual dispute will be in her favor."
However, after reports from the case came in this afternoon, The Daily News stated that the "Friends" alum has lost the legal battle with her ex-manager Scott Howard, owing him a hefty sum of $1.6 million.
The jury finalized their decision, stating that Kudrow violated her 1991 oral agreement with Howard, confirming that he would receive a percentage of her earnings prior to the end of their 16-year professional relationship in 2007.
Upon leaving the courthouse, Howard told Inside Edition that, "I feel gratified. It was our agreement and I live up to my agreement, and I expect others to live up to theirs as well."
