After much anticipation, the music video for Lana Del Rey's single “National Anthem” has finally been released.

The whopping 7 minutes and 40 seconds worth of footage portrays the 26-year-old as a dual character swapping between two iconic women, Jackie Kennedy and Marilyn Monroe.

Meanwhile, rapper A$AP Rocky is also featured in the video while taking on the role of John F. Kennedy in the infamous love triangle.

Shot as if it took place back in the 60’s, the retro chic artistic offering starts off with Del Rey performing a Marilyn Monroe-esque "Happy Birthday" song to the President while gradually taking viewers through a more modern day re-creation of the iconic love story which ultimately ends with JFK's assassination.

According to the video’s director, Anthony Mandler, the idea was all Miss Del Rey's, as he explained to MTV, “Lana was really interested in exploring this loss of innocence, this idea that what you think you're experiencing is maybe not what it's always going to be.”
