Lady Gaga: New York Gay Pride Proud; Watch Here!
She has been laying low since hip surgery forced her to cancel her world tour, but on Friday (June 28), Lady Gaga put in an appearance at the Gay Pride kick off rally in New York City.
Simply dressed in a strapless black jumpsuit, the "Pokerface" songstress addressed the gathered crowd at Pier 26 saying “We are not a niche. We are part, a big giant part of humanity. It’s time for us to be mainstream. I demand the rights to safe streets!”
In addition to her stirring speech, the 27-year old also sang an a cappella rendition of the national anthem, changing the last line to "Oh say, does our star-spangled flag of pride yet wave."
