Director Kate Hudson
It seems that most actors and actresses have a penchant to direct. Kate Hudson finally realized her dream to get behind the camera, following the leads of Jennifer Aniston and Kirsten Dunst to the Glamour Magazine “Reel Moments” program.
Already in its third year, “Reel Moments” exists to empower women by producing female-friendly short films, while at the same time providing actresses the opportunity to try out directing.
Glamour approached the You Me and Dupree actress earlier this year about selecting a story from the submissions they received. And Kate was thrilled to be a participant in the feminine film contest.
She recruited Kurt Russell, Dakota Fanning, Kristen Stewart, Chevy Chase, and Virginia Madsen to star in the short, which will be premiering October 9th in Los Angeles. Glamour’s website will also offer the selections.
