Recently, the 29-year-old actress revealed her engagement to director Michael Polish on her Vogue online travel blog.

The two were first spotted together last August when they attended a Coldplay concert together in Los Angeles. Her fiancée will direct the "Blue Crush" star in the upcoming indie flick "Big Sur." The movie recounts the events surrounding author Jack Kerouac's three brief sojourns to a cabin in Big Sur, California.

Kate spoke to MTV about the film and Kerouac, saying, "it's his last novel so he was quite literally killing himself by that point in his life, drinking himself to death. So it's an account of a man losing his mind and his soul in the woods and documenting it."
