Justin Bieber Talks Career Evolution
His new album Believe hits stores and online retailers today, and Justin Bieber is thrilled to have his fans get to hear his new work.
During a recent interview, the “Boyfriend” singer explained that while he’s not a bubblegum pop kid star anymore, neither are most of his fans.
Justin shared, “I’m growing as an artist and my fans are growing with me. So, I’m just making music that reflects that.”
As for the song he wrote concerning his false paternity accuser Mariah Yeater, “It’s called Maria… we changed her name so we couldn’t get sued. I felt like I just wanted to talk about it, I mean it was something that was a pretty significant thing to happen. I wanted to be able to speak about it and not have my words twisted.”
And even though he’s been swamped with publicity duties, Justin made sure to pick up his girlfriend Selena Gomez from the airport personally, rather than just sending someone to get her. “I think that’d be kinda rude. No, I like to take the time to do special things and I think that’s what girls like.”
