Jonathan Rhys Meyers: No Suicide Attempt
As a follow up to the GossipCenter report on Jonathan Rhys Meyers' hospitalization, it turns out he wasn’t trying to kill himself.
The Irish actor has struggled with alcoholism for years, and his incident Tuesday was related to him relapsing in his sobriety.
Previously it was reported that Jonathan tried to take his own life because, “it was the opinion of those present that he tried to.” It turns out those opinions were misinformed.
A police source explained, "We can confirm we were called by the London Ambulance Service around 8 in the evening on Tuesday to an address in NW8 following a report to a man refusing treatment. Police attended, and the 33-year-old man was taken by ambulance to a central London hospital. That was the end of our involvement."
