Jon Hamm Talks About Publicized Package in Rolling Stone
After posing for the Mark Seliger-shot front page, the 43-year-old actor chatted with the music mag about everything from his intriguing character Don Draper to his highly-publicized manhood.
"Don is a very complicated character, and I'm a fairly complicated indiviudal, but that's pretty much where the similarity ends," Jon explains. "I try to imbue Don with humanity that is raw and misunderstood and meaningful... it's not that I just come in and throw a suit on and act super cool.
In regards to his now public private part dilemma, Mr. Hamm revealed, "They're called 'privates' for a reason. I'm wearing pants, for f*** sake. Lay off. I mean it's not like I'm a f****** lead miner. There are harder jobs in the world. But when people feel the freedom to create Tumblr accounts about my c***, I feel like that wasn't part of the deal... But whatever. I guess it's better than being called out for the opposite."
"Most of it’s tongue-in-cheek but it is a little rude. It just speaks to a broader freedom that people feel like they have – a prurience," he adds.
