Johnny Depp Grabs Gangster Role
Adding another film to his already-impressive resume, Johnny Depp has been tapped to star as Boston mob big wig Whitey Bulger in the upcoming flick "Black Mass."
Cross Creek Pictures execs announced the news on Saturday (February 2), dishing that Universal Pictures will release the movie and shooting is set to start in May.
Surely to make an action-packed storyline, Bugler was allegedly involved in almost 20 murders and even became an FBI informant before finally being busted after hanging around on the Most Wanted list for over ten years.
The film will be based off the the New York Times bestselling book "Black Mass: The True Story of an Unholy Alliance Between the FBI and the Irish Mob," and will be directed by Academy Award winner Barry Levinson.
