Johnny Depp Gets Into Costume for "The Lone Ranger "
Hoping to make more big screen magic, Johnny Depp was on set in Los Angeles, CA on Wednesday (September 19) to shoot scenes for Disney's "The Lone Ranger" reboot.
In full makeup while acting out a part involving a ladder and a blue screen, the "Pirates of the Caribbean" actor is playing the Lone Ranger's bumbling, yet oddly insightful, sidekick, Tonto.
The Gore Verbinski-directed film stars Armie Hammer ("The Social Network") as the title character. Rounding out the cast are William Fitchner, Tom Wilkinson, and Helena Bonham Carter.
While Depp and Carter are very close friends, and have worked together many times before, this will be their first project in a long while that doesn't involve director/producer Tim Burton.
After a few setbacks, "The Lone Ranger" is currently set to hit theaters on July 3, 2012.
