Stepping away from the set of his hit self-titled talk show, Jimmy Kimmel fronts the October 2013 issue of Vegas magazine.

While rocking designer duds from Tom Ford and Prada for the Rainer Hosch-shot spread, the 45-year-old television host chatted about becoming a household name and his plans for the future.

Check out a few highlights from Mr. Kimmel's interview below. For more, be sure to visit Vegas!

On his popularity:
"I wasn't popular in high school, but now every drunken guy in the United States wants to be my pal. They all want to buy me a shot, and pretty soon I'm throwing up."

On his career:
"Hosting a talk show is one of those jobs where you don't plan for other things after it. You just keep going as long as you can."

On his inspirations:
"The thing about me is, I came from a radio background, not stand-up comedy. So I love a lot of people who have performed in broadcasting, as well as in stand-up. David Letterman and Howard Stern were probably my two biggest Inspirations growing up, and Jay Leno was actually one of my favorite comics."
