His career just keeps getting hotter- Jimmy Fallon has been named as the replacement for Jay Leno when his “Tonight Show” contract runs out in 2014.

The “Late Night” stud will continue to broadcast from New York City, marking the end of a four-decade run in Los Angeles.

Fallon is understandably thrilled about the gig, telling press, “I’m really excited to host a show that starts today instead of tomorrow.”

In response, Leno shared, “Congratulations Jimmy. I hope you’re as lucky as me and hold on to the job until you’re the old guy. If you need me, I’ll be at the garage.”
