Stepping off the set his hit CBS series "The Big Bang Theory," Jim Parsons scored the cover spot of Out magazine's 100 issue.

While rocking a few poses for the Danielle Levitt-shot spread, the 40-year-old actor chatted about his relationship with partner Todd Spiewak and discussed the moment when he publicly announced he was gay.

Check out a few highlights from Mr. Parson's Q&A session below. For more, be sure to visit Out!

On announcing he is gay:
"I didn't think it was still that much hoopla, and that was really kind of rewarding. that's progress - progress that I'm really happy to be part of, making what was extraordinary ordinary without being boring, for God's sake."

On being with Todd:
"We feel very average, we feel very normal. We really do. The strange stuff is the Hollywood stuff we have to walk through, not the gay stuff we have to walk through. I've never considered myself an activist. I've never considered my relationship with Todd to be an act of activism. Rather simply, it's an act of love, coffee in the morning, going to work, washing the clothes, taking the dogs [out] - a regular life, boring love."

On keeping up with his busy schedule:
"I was very conscious in 2013 to try to enjoy every month, every week at a time, as much as I could. It's been a very different process than doing the play of it, but it's been similar in the camaraderie you immediately feel."
