Razzie Awards Nominations Announced
While most of the awards shows are all about honoring the best of the entertainment industry, there’s one ceremony that highlights the worst of Hollywood.
The Razzies, founded by John Wilson, announced the nominees for this year’s awards, and there was plenty of material for consideration.
Mike Myers’ “The Love Guru” led the pack with a grand total of seven nominations including worst performances by Myers, Jessica Alba, Verne Troyer, and Ben Kingsley.
“Disaster Movie,” “The Happening,” “In the Name of the King,” “Meet the Spartans,” and “The Hottie and the Nottie” are all up for the Worst Picture Award.
Paris Hilton is also up for a Razzie for her supporting actress performance in “Repo! The Genetic Opera,” while Eddie Murphy and Cameron Diaz are also contenders in that category.
The Razzies will be presented the day before the Academy Awards, on Saturday February 21st.
