He's gearing up for the premiere of his new flick "American Hustle" and during promotions, Jeremy Renner scored a feature in the December 2013 issue of ELLE magazine.

During his Q&A session, "The Avengers" star chatted about the features he looks for in a woman and chatted about his past professions.

Check out a few highlights from Mr. Renner's interview below. For more, be sure to visit ELLE!

On his type of woman:
"My girl is masculine in a lot of ways, even though she looks like a supermodel. A girly girl just doesn't do it for me. I can't have a conversation about your broken nail."

On his ex biting him:
"It was what I didn't do. I wouldn't go to a barbecue at her house. I didn't pay enough attention to her."

On his job as a makeup artist:
"In the theater, we had to do our own stage makeup. I figured I could tone it down and do it on hot girls all day. It wasn't the case. It ended up being older ladies, which was just fine."
