Jason Aldean’s Tour Bus Strikes and Kills a Man, Star Sends Prayers to Family
Country crooner Jason Aldean's tour bus hit and killed a man in Knox County, Indiana on Sunday evening (October 27).
According to the Sheriff's Department, Albert Kennedy "walked out into the middle of the roadway" around 1:30 a.m. and was struck by the tour bus on US 41 North.
Knox County Sheriff Michael Morris confirmed that the 36-year-old singer was on board the bus during the "terrible accident.”
"With a heavy heart, I'm sad to say that a man passed away last night after stepping out in front of my bus in Indiana," Jason tweeted. "In all the years I've been touring and all the miles we've driven, nothing prepares you for something like this to happen. I'm praying for Albert Kennedy's family and friends today and ask that you do the same."
According to reports, an investigation into the accident and death are currently underway.
Jason is expected to perform at the Country Music Association Awards in Nashville next week alongside Taylor Swift, Luke Bryan and Keith Urban.
