Prior to the end of the writers’ strike, most of the regular pre-Oscar parties were cancelled. But never fear! Madonna, her manager Guy Oseary, and Demi Moore came up with a last-minute solution, and stars like Owen Wilson, Eva Mendes, and Christian Slater showed up in droves.

Fresh out of the Cirque Lodge Rehab Center in Orem, Utah, Eva Mendes showed her face at the CAA shindig, wearing a black and white belted dress complete with black knee-high leather boots and a black jacket.

2007 Australia Video Music Awards

The MTV Australia Video Music Awards took place in Sydney, Austalia last night (April 29), with American acts stealing the show.

Punk rockers 30 Seconds to Mars came up big, with The Kill being named Video of the Year and Best Rock Video. The Jared Leto led band beat out the likes of Australian bands Wolfmother's Joker and the Thief, as well as Christina Aguilera, Eskimo Joe, and Jet.

Jared Leto Breaks Nose At Concert

Jared Leto fell victim to an unfortunate accident just recently. The singer-actor suffered a broken nose after being trampled by his fans at a concert performance.

The bandleader was performing with his band 30 Seconds to Mars when he ran into the El Paso crowd and was rushed by fans. He suffered a broken nose and minor injuries to his foot, face and body, according to MTV news.
