Pop superstar Justin Timberlake is rumoured to be planning to spoof his infamous Super Bowl incident with Janet Jackson - in a new movie Played.

The 'N Sync star is set to appear alongside funnyman Rob Schneider in the comedy movie - which will also feature cameos by Ashton Kutcher and Adam Sandler.

An insider close to Timberlake says, "It's a cameo in which he makes a reference to the whole thing."

"This whole thing just won't go away, so I guess he figures he might as well have fun with it."

Janet Jackson says, "The decision to have a costume reveal at the end of my halftime performance was made after final rehearsals."

Justin Timberlake now says, "We love giving you all something to talk about."

Les Mooves says, "I want to offer my personal assurances that we are looking into this matter and will do everything we can to get to the bottom of it."

The NFL says, "MTV will never be invited back to produce a halftime show."
