VMA Parties Last Into The Night

If you were in Vegas for the MTV Video Music Awards last night, chances are you didn’t get much sleep. There were a slew of parties to make sure that Sin City kept rocking into the wee hours.

The official post-show party took place at the Palms, with Jamie Foxx and Jennifer Garner sharing the hosting duties. They provided a serious open bar and a buffet that would make Fat Joe kneel in submission.

Sometimes in the movie industry, the establishment gives back to the people. And that’s just what happened at the Hollywood Foreign Press Association Grant Ceremony, with plenty of star power to go around.

A-listers like Hilary Swank, Jennifer Lopez, Marc Anthony, Eva Mendes, Charlize Theron, and Jaime Foxx showed up to hand out $1.2 million in grants to various filmmaking schools and programs.

Foxx and Blige Lead Soul Train Award Winners

Another awards show has come and gone. Last night, the Soul Train Awards saw top honors bestowed upon Mary J Blige and Jamie Foxx.

Blige picked up the award for best R&B/soul album by a female artist for The Breakthrough, while Foxx was chosen for the male award for his album Unpredictable.

Disappointingly for show producers, neither turned up to collect their awards at the ceremony held in Pasadena, California, on Saturday.
