Meta Golding's Career Is "Catching Fire"

Preparing to battle her way through the next "Hunger Games" arena, Meta Golding is the latest actress to join the "Catching Fire" cast, per an announcement by Lionsgate on Tuesday (August 7).

The "Day Break" actress has been cast to play Enobaria who is a career tribute from District 2 that is known for winning a previous Hunger Games by killing a competitor by way of a deadly throat attack.

Making for another memorable year, the 2012 Teen Choice Awards took place in Universal City, California on Sunday night (July 22).

Held at the Gibson Amphitheatre, Demi Lovato tended to hosting duties with help from Kevin McHale as "The Twilight Saga", "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Hunger Games" emerged as the big winners.

Sam Claflin to Join "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" Cast?

Several reports are saying "Snow White and the Huntsman" actor Sam Claflin the frontrunner or on the short list to play Finnick in the sequel to "The Hunger Games." Though Lionsgate has not confirmed the rumor, Variety's Jeff Sneider confirmed that Claflin was on the studio's short list.

If cast, the 26-year-old British actor will play Finnick Odair, a former winner of the "Hunger Games" who befriends Katniss at the Quarter Quell.

"The Hunger Games: Mockingjay" Split Into Dual Finale

The wildly popular "Hunger Games" book series will be split into four movies, according to Lionsgate Films.

Although the first sequel "Catching Fire" will be released as one film on November 22, 2013, the third and final installment of the triology, "Mockingjay" will be split into two parts with the first film being released on November 21, 2014 and part two debuting on November 20, 2015.

Philip Seymour Hoffman Lands Role in "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire"

Lionsgate and the filmmakers of "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" have announced that Philip Seymour Hoffman has been cast in the role of Plutarch Heavensbee, Head Gamemaker for The Hunger Games, in the much anticipated film adaptation of Suzanne Collins’ worldwide smash hit novel Catching Fire.

The actor and filmmaker just wrapped a Broadway run as Willy Loman in the revival of “Death of a Salesman” for which he was nominated for a Tony Award.
