“The Hunger Games” London Premiere: A Complete Look
Giving English fans a thrill, “The Hunger Games” held its UK premiere in London on Wednesday evening (March 14).
Also on-hand for the London screening were Liam's actor brother Chris Hemsworth, as well as Katie Price, Michelle Heaton, Ellie Jenas, Melanie Brown and her man, Stephen Belfonte.
In a recent interview, Josh shared that the training regimen prior to making “Games” was pretty intense and demanding.
“Physically, it was pretty similar to what I’d done before, but what was different was that I had to put on weight, which I hadn’t done before. I put on fifteen pounds of muscle, so that was a lot of eating chicken and a high protein, low-carb diet. Also a lot of heavy lifting and a very different kind of training with an ex-navy SEAL guy who wanted to kill me every time I got with him. In a good way.”
Meanwhile, Liam noted that his character’s range in the film was a welcome challenge and helped him grow in his craft.
“As an actor, I’m always on the lookout for good scripts, things that are interesting and different, and this combines romance and action, you get to do it all. I want to do as many different emotions as I can.”
