There’s nothing worse than an invasion of privacy, and Hugh Grant is striking back against Mail on Sunday for allegedly hacking his phone for a story about his love life back in 2007.

The “Mickey Blue Eyes” actor’s testimony against the British tabloid was heard during a media ethics inquiry over the weekend.

He's been spearheading the celebrity fight against the tabloid phone-hackers, and today (July 20) Hugh Grant has earned a small victory for all of his hard work.

During the court hearing, a British judge granted the "Notting Hill" actor the right to see all evidence that he and his former girlfriend, Jemima Khan’s voice messages were hacked.

He was understandably upset when his mobile phone was hacked as part of a larger scandal in the UK, but Hugh Grant took action for the benefit of others affected by the fiasco.

The “Love Actually” stud told press, "The crusade against the people who hacked my phone is just the beginning of it. I don't think I would be on a crusade if it weren't for the fact that … they were winked at by the police, and winked at by our government."
