Her flawless figure may look effortless, but even Helena Christensen admits that she dreads going to the gym on occasion.

During an interview with Red magazine, the former Victoria's Secret Angel reveals her constant struggle with staying in shape and discusses her open letter to Kim Kardashian about her constantly criticized pregnancy weight.

Check out a few highlights from Miss Christensen's Q&A session below. For more, be sure to visit Red!

On forcing herself to workout:
"Now I exercise. I walk over there [an old boxing club she goes to twice a week] sighing and the hour goes soooo slow. Like literally, I do a lot of exercises and look up at the clock and seven minutes have passed!"

On lacking of exercise growing up:
"I'm glad I didn't exercise when I was younger, as I think I would have noticed more changes. I started in my mid-thirties and it has kind of neutralized the changing period."

On saying no to plastic surgery:
"There's a fine line between it looking alright and looking freaky. That's what holds me back. Can you imagine waking up after having something done and realizing they have done just that tiny speck too much? I think the best thing is to get dimmers on your lights and, when they don't work, switch to candles!"

On writing to Kim:
"I feel I let myself down if I don't speak out about something that is utterly unfair. [With Kim] I looked beyond the fact she's a public figure and took the very simple stand that a pregnant woman should never be judged in the disgusting ways that are out there right now."
