Doing their part for charity, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden started off the New Year with a party for the kids from Beyond Shelter on Saturday afternoon (January 3).

Making for quite the memorable experience, the group visited Magic Mountain in Valencia - with the former "Simple Life" starlet and her Good Charlotte rocker beau riding the roller coasters and posing for pictures.

Taking advantage of some free time for mother-daughter bonding, Nicole Richie was spotted out and about with her l1-month-old Harlow Winter last night in Los Angeles.

The “Simple Life” starlet and her adorable little girl were all bundled up as they meandered down the street, Harlow smiling all the while as she rode patiently in her stroller.

With baby Harlow in good hands, Nicole Richie and Joel Madden stepped out for the Official Footwear Launch for K-DCMA at the DCMA Flagship Store on Saturday night (December 13).

Talking about he and brother Benji's fashion line, Joel told E!, "We have some of the best graffiti artists in the world. We have all sorts of people who have been involved in helping design for our company. It's more of a collaborative, collective effort."
