“The Great Gatsby” Slated to Open Cannes Film Festival

It’s one of the year’s most anticipated films, and “The Great Gatsby” has just been announced as the opening feature at the 2013 Cannes International Film Festival.

Stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Carey Mulligan will attend the big premiere in the South of France on May 15th, Leo’s first appearance at the festival since 2007.

Jay-Z Announces “Great Gatsby” Gig

He’s sold millions of albums and sold out thousands of concerts, and now Jay-Z is trying his hand at scoring a movie.

The “Ni**as in Paris” rapper will co-write the original musical score to “The Great Gatsby,” along with producer/songwriter The Bullitts.

Two Character Posters and New Trailer for "The Great Gatsby" Released

Giving fans an advance look at two of the main characters, new character posters and a new trailer for "The Great Gatsby" have been released.

The posters feature Leonardo DiCaprio's Jay Gatsby and Carey Mulligan's Daisy Buchanan, while the trailer shows a brief synopsis of Gatsby's life - past and present - and all the excitement and drama that goes with it.

Fans of the F. Scott Fitzgerald classic "The Great Gatsby" will have to wait a little longer to see the new film adaptation come to light. Warner Brothers announced today that the movie will be pushed from the original Christmas 2012 release date to summer of 2013.

The Warner Brothers Film follows an aspiring writer Nick Carraway ( Tobey Maguire) as he leaves the Midwest and comes to New York City in the spring of 1922. He ends up living next door to a mysterious millionaire Jay Gatsby ( Leonardo DiCaprio) and becomes a witness to an epic downfall and tragedy.
