George Steinbrenner Suffers Heart Attack, Dead at 80
He was one of the most controversial figures in Major League Baseball and earlier today (July 13) George Steinbrenner died.
“The Boss” as he was nicknamed, suffered a massive heart attack and subsequently passed away while being treated at a Tampa, Florida hospital.
According to an inside source, paramedics were called to Steinbrenner’s side late last night and tried to save him, but around 6:30am this morning he was lost.
George celebrated his 80th birthday on July 4th and is survived by his wife of 54 years Elizabeth, and their four kids Hank, Hal, Jennifer, and Jessica.
