Amy Poehler Brings Joy to the 2013 Spirit Awards

Never one to miss out on a swanky affair, Amy Poehler headed over to the 2013 Film Independent Spirit Awards in Santa Monica, California earlier tonight (February 23).

The “Parks and Recreation” star was all smiles as she greeted fellow famous folks outside the beach tent ahead of the main event.

And while there is an abundance of different awards shows this time of the year, the Film Independent Spirit Awards is definitely something special (and not just because Andy Samberg is playing host).

According to the organization’s website, “As the first event to honor independent film exclusively, the Film Independent Spirit Awards has made a name for itself as the premier awards event for the independent film community. It’s a celebration of the spirited pioneers who bring a unique vision to filmmaking.”
