They’ve been throwing insults back and forth at each other for awhile now, and Nick Cannon has finally challenged Eminem to a fight.

The “America’s Got Talent” host made an official challenge to the “Love the Way You Lie” rapper to get into the boxing ring- and he’s doing it for charity.

Seeing that he has the best-selling album of the year, it only makes sense that Eminem has been chosen at the opening act for the 2010 MTV Video Music Awards.

With the ceremony taking place in Los Angeles on Sunday night (September 12), MTV general manager Stephen Friedman confirmed that the "Recovery" rapper will get things underway at the Nokia Theatre shindig.

He's boasting top record sales and one of the most talked about videos of the year, so it only makes sense that Eminem has announced plans to perform at the 27th annual MTV Video Music Awards.

To be broadcast live from the Nokia Theatre in Los Angeles on September 12 at 9PM ET, Slim Shady has accepted MTV's invite as he continues to promote his latest album, Recovery.
